Printed at Atelier Mourlot by the legendary master lithographer Henri Deschamps, whose technical skill and expressive handling of tone made him one of the few printers Pablo Picasso insisted on working with. The deep, velvety blacks and nuanced tonal transitions in this impression are characteristic of Deschamps's craftsmanship-the kind of rich, layered darkness that only the finest pre-digital stone lithography could achieve.
