Description:Beautiful 1950's vintage Mediterranean angel-skin coral necklace with 14 kt gold beads.
This necklace measures 39 inches.
Great for layering if you already have a couple strands.
Each bead a uniform 10 mm's.
The beads are a creamy,soft angel skin color with hints of pink and peach, but with a bit more of an overall whitish look.
Weighs 123.5 grams.
There are 10 14kt gold beads that are 7 mm's by 4 mm's they have been acid tested.
All hand knotted between each bead.
This is very high quality coral, heavy and dense.
Angel skin coral has become very desirable since coral was banned in the 1970's.
We will never see coral like this again as our coral reefs are suffering and dying.
Any new coral coming out of the orient has been treated and dyed and has a very different "patina".
There are very few natural imperfections,pits or inclusions on these beads and the stringing is in good condition.
Angel skin coral is a great alternative to pearls. It can be dressed up or down and is so flattering to every skin tone.
