ABOUT THE ARTIST: Lopata Vasyl Ivanovich - was born on 28th of April, 1941 in Nova Basan village, Chernihiv region. Ukrainian artist, graphic artist. He studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute. Mentors: Kasiyan V. I., Deregus M. Since 1971 - a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 2001 - National Artist of Ukraine. He participated in the creation of banknotes of Ukraine, he performed portraits of historical figures and monuments of the country`s architecture and landscapes. The artist`s works are kept in the National Museum in Kyiv, and museums in Chernigiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy.
