ABOUT THE ARTIST: Warsavsky Avraam-Itska Elyovich - was born on February 12, 1912, in Khoruzhevka, Sumy Region. He studied on the art-working faculty at the Kharkiv Art Institute (1932-1934). Painter. He painted portraits of contemporaries and figurative works about the inhabitants of Sumy. Historical canvases reproduce a great idea of the revolution. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1972). Member of World War II. Has combat awards. He worked as an artist at the Aviakhim House of Defense in Kharkiv (1934-1936), Harpromtorg (1936-1940), and the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Plant (1945-1972). Participated in exhibitions: republican and Union (since 1955). Major works: "Krasnodontsev" (1962, 1965), "Lunch Break" (1963), "Girls" (1965), "People`s Actor of the Ukrainian SSR S. Shkurat", "Year 1918" (1967), "Winter" (1970), "Folk Talents" (1971), "P. Postyshev among the peasants" (1972), "Commander I. Fedko" (1978), "G. Barley" (1982). The works are stored in Sumy Art Museum, Donetsk Art Museum, Kharkiv Art Museum, and Museum of the Young Guard in Krasnodon city, Lugansk Region. He emigrated to Israel in 2000.
