STS-31 crew signed commemorative cover, signed by all five members of the historic Space Shuttle mission that deployed the Hubble Space Telescope into Earth orbit. The cover is marked “SRM FULL-DURATION TEST” and bears a Brigham City, Utah, April 20, 1988 postmark. Affixed are contemporary United States stamps honoring Margaret Mitchell, Mary Lyon, and the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution. The cover is signed in dark ink by Commander Loren J. Shriver, Pilot Charles F. Bolden Jr., and Mission Specialists Steven A. Hawley, Bruce McCandless II, and Kathryn D. Sullivan.

STS-31 launched aboard Space Shuttle Discovery on April 24, 1990, and remains one of the most significant missions of the Shuttle era. The crew successfully deployed the Hubble Space Telescope, which would go on to revolutionize astronomy and provide some of the most important scientific discoveries of the modern age.
