James P. Bagian (b. 1952) is a physician, engineer, and former NASA astronaut who flew aboard STS-29 and STS-40, contributing to biomedical research in microgravity before becoming a leading authority on patient safety.

Tamara E. Jernigan (b. 1959) is a former NASA astronaut and physicist who flew five Space Shuttle missions, logging more than 1,500 hours in space, including a spacewalk during the assembly of the International Space Station.

Rhea Seddon (b. 1947) is a physician and former NASA astronaut who flew three Space Shuttle missions, including STS-40, helping pioneer life sciences research in orbit.
