Kenneth Cockrell autographed flight-flown cover documenting carriage aboard a T-38A aircraft during an instrument training flight. The cover is completed in manuscript with the flight details, including carriage by Ken Cockrell, departure from and return to Ellington Field (EFD), October 16, 1989, aircraft T-38A, registration N913NA, U.S. Air Force serial no. 65-10355, and the purpose noted as “Instrument Training.” Cockrell has signed in black ink.

Kenneth D. Cockrell (born 1950) is a former NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy captain who flew on five Space Shuttle missions: STS-56, STS-69, STS-80, STS-98, and STS-111. He logged more than 1,000 hours in space and later served in NASA leadership roles, including Director of Flight Crew Operations, where he was responsible for the management and training of the astronaut corps.
