Richard Nixon 1968 presidential campaign pewter presentation box, engraved on the exterior, “CHARLIE WILDE RN ASSOCIATES 1968.” The hinged pewter box features a fitted wooden interior with two compartments and retains its original printed presentation card reading, “With sincere appreciation for your support of my 1968 Presidential Campaign,” with Nixon’s facsimile signature. Also present is an original pack of The Steiff Co. “Modern & Colonial Pewter” polishing tissues housed within one compartment.

The presentation box was produced as a campaign appreciation gift during Nixon’s successful 1968 presidential campaign and personalized for Charlie Wilde, a member of RN Associates, one of the campaign’s principal fundraising organizations. The engraved exterior identifies the recipient and campaign year, while the enclosed printed card reflects the type of commemorative gifts distributed to campaign supporters and associates following the election.

The pewter box measures approximately 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 inches.

Overall very good condition with expected handling wear, light surface scratches, and natural oxidation to the pewter exterior. The wooden interior remains clean and intact.
