The river Rhine runs across the northeast corner of the map, and the river Maas runs across the map from top centre-right toward the middle of the western edge of the map. The map covers the area from Antwerp in the northwest corner to Charleville-Mézières in the south west, Trier in the southeast and Bonn and Cologne in the northeast.
