The towns of Oulx, Chamonix, Megève, La Clusaz & Saint Gervais, and the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys are marked . Jodocus Hondius excudit. Published c1631. Large folio 17th century uncoloured engraved map. Size 41 x 53 cm | 16.0 x 21.0 inches. Condition: Fair: The map has been mounted on thick laid paper, likely during the 19th century, which has served to restore some small areas of wear and paper loss adjacent to the original fold and in the bottom margin. As a result, the original verso is not directly visible; when held to the light, no evidence of printing appears on the reverse. Some manuscript annotations, however, are discernible, which show through to the front of the map at top. Toning. Please note any other blemishes on the scan prior to purchasing this picture. Please contact us if you would like to arrange to view this map. There appears to be nothing printed on the reverse side, which is plain save for some manual annotations.
