These fine Carder era Steuben pieces date to around the 1910s-1920s. The compotes have wide, shallow basins in red, beautifully cut with a design of flowers and foliage and clusters of grapes. The stems and round feet are clear glass, contrasting attractively with the light red of the tops. Steuben colored glass is highly collectible and not easy to find today, so this is a rare opportunity for anyone looking to add to (or begin) their glass collection. One compote has a very clear Steuben signature. The other was likely signed as well, but faded over time. This pair of compotes is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. Some shelf wear to the undersides, as you'd expect. Each compote stands about 2 3/4 inches tall and measures about 7 inches in diameter at the rim, or about 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the base.
