Royal Copenhagen, Saxon Flower set of four lidded cream cups. Hand-painted porcelain decorated in the Saxon Flower pattern, model 493/1778. First factory quality. Origin: Denmark. Material: Porcelain. Dimensions: H. 9 cm, D. 6 cm. Period: 1960s. Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Bio: Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 in Copenhagen under the patronage of Queen Dowager Juliane Marie. The manufactory is internationally recognised for its hand-painted porcelain and high level of craftsmanship. The Saxon Flower decoration is inspired by 18th-century European porcelain traditions and was produced in several variations throughout the 20th century, including during the 1960s.
