**Item recirculated due to nonpayment** A fine example of 19th century country furniture, this painted plantation desk is constructed of pine and poplar with an old painted surface in shades of gray blue and green visible inside the top cabinet. The upper cabinet features a molded cornice surmounting a pair of paneled doors. The lower section has a hinged slant-top writing surface opening to generous storage and a drawer, above two paneled drawers, with paneled sides and tapered front legs. It measures approximately 64 inches high x 32 inches wide x 28½ inches deep. Some wear to the finish consistent with age.
