Hannah Barlow Doulton Lambeth Cat Landscape Lidded Jar

Description

A silver-plate lidded jar for Doulton Lambeth decorated by Hannah Barlow, featuring a glazed, detailed grassy landscape of multiple cats. Framing the central cat panel are bands of a repeating geometric relief pattern with a cobalt blue repeating leaf pattern around the bottom. The piece includes an ornately engraved lid with a decorative finial. It is marked with the Doulton Lambeth stamp on the bottom with Hannah Barlow's monogram signature and is dated 1884. Measures approximately 6 7/8 in. H x 4 3/4 in. W x 4 7/8 in. D. Good condition with age-appropriate wear to surface.
