This folk art whirligig, created by Patricia John and Jac John and dated 2004, is titled "Curveball." The piece features a baseball player in a white uniform with the jersey number twenty. His arms held out to catch the ball, which spins via two rotating mini baseballs attached to a curved wire mechanism over his head. The figure is set on a green-painted rectangular wood base. It is signed "Jac John Patricia P John 2004" on the bottom, with the letters "B.B.D" also burned into the base. It measures approximately 23 3/4 in. H x 7 1/8 in. W x 15 in. D. Some wear and discoloration to surface.
