A 20th century painted comb-back Windsor writing armchair in the American Federal style, featuring a tall comb back with graceful scrolled crest terminals above a shaped saddle seat, fitted with a shaped writing tablet supported by a turned standard and a single drawer beneath the seat for writing implements, standing on turned legs joined by stretchers, finished in a traditional rustic red painted surface with intentional wear; 47¼ in. high, 36¾ in. wide, 34 in. deep, with a floor to seat height of 18 in. Good condition with light wear to the surface and paint consistent with age and use.
