Piece features slip-carved (sgraffito) decoration depicting a central figure carrying a basket, framed by a vegetal border in an appealing modernist style. The bowl is signed with an incised signature on the base and showcases blue glazes over a slightly warm, light clay body. The artist was active primarily during the 1960s and 1970s as part of the postwar French studio pottery movement. Dimensions are approximately 2 in. H x 9 1/2 in. in diameter. Good condition.
