Description

This North Carolina pottery face jug by Claude Miller of Ram Pottery features a runny green glaze, a large hand-molded nose, and distinctive eyebrows. The expressive face includes heavily lidded eyes and an open mouth with applied, glazed ceramic teeth. It is finished with an applied strap handle and is signed "Claude Miller Ram Pottery Ashe. Co. NC 97" on the bottom. It measures approximately 9 3/8 in. H x 6 1/4 in. W x 7 1/4 in. D; in good condition with light wear to surface.
