This petite hand-coiled blackware bowl is the work of the acclaimed Santa Clara Pueblo artist Helen S. Shupla (1928–1985), who was celebrated for her innovative pottery techniques. The piece features a distinct, graceful curving design along its side and is signed on the base. It measures approximately 1 1/4 in. H x 2 5/8 in. in diameter and shows minimal wear to the surface.
