This melon-style basket by Richard J. Ervin of Rockingham, North Carolina, features a "God's eye" woven pattern at the base of the handles and a wrapped rim. It is signed on the bottom of the handle, "RJ Ervin," and dated 1982. The basket displays an aged patina and measures approximately 7 1/4 in. H x 9 1/2 in. W x 11 1/2 in. D. It is in good condition with light wear to the weave consistent with age.
