Wire sculpture depicts a cat with charming modernist features. Though unsigned, it is attributed to the internationally acclaimed American artist Elizabeth Berrien, widely recognized as the Godmother of Wire for pioneering the contemporary wire sculpture movement. Born in 1950, Berrien creates complex, hand-twisted, three-dimensional sculptures and wall art from single strands of wire at her Wire Zoo Studio in Olympia, Washington. This piece measures approximately 15 in. H x 8 in. in diameter and is in good condition.
