Ivory Coast. Wide mask carved of hardwood with broad smooth planes, narrow lentoid eyes, relief ridge along forehead and flat nose, open ovoid lips, and small disc-shaped ear extensions on sides. Small scarification marks at temples. Deep burnished brown-black patina. Some fabric attached to rim with nail tacks. 10.25" H × 9.25" W (26.04 cm H × 23.5 cm W).
