Two paper bank notes including an April 22, 1861 five dollar note with ox wagon and John C. Calhoun vignettes and a December 13, 1853 ten dollar note featuring sailing ships and a cotton picking scene. Both exhibit heavy handling wear, typical toning and minor creasing commensurate with age. Paper bodies remain solid overall, showing faint reverse orange geometric and patterned prints.
