Vintage Taxco Sterling Silver Necklace & Earring Set - SR Eagle 3 Hallmark Mexico -Turquoise

Description

Sterling Silver & Turquoise necklace or choker and matching Earrings by a Taxco silversmith with the mark of SR and an eagle 3 makes a bold statement. I believe this beautiful piece is circa 1970s or earlier. It weighs just over 75 grams, making it substantial. This modernist jewelry features joined in the back with a heavy curb chain. The beautiful matching earrings are screwbacks.
. There are two side pieces and they curve slightly to the back The necklace has a sturdy tab and box clasp rectangular piece, and is hallmarked on the underside of this section- see photos.
