Description:This is a Gucci Plus bag, and part of Gucci fashion history. The bag was a distinct line created in the late 1970s and 80s by Paolo Gucci, the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci.
Paolo Gucci, wanted to push the House of Gucci to market an affordable line, but it was opposed by the family. The case went to court, and the court ruled to allow Paolo Gucci to manufacture a separate line, using the name Gucci Plus, independently from the mainline Gucci products. It is therefore not part of the core Gucci collection.
The black background features the iconic Gucci pattern, and the vertical green and red web stripe, which was originally derived from vintage equestrian girth straps.
The material is hard wearing coated canvas, smooth leather, and gold-tone hardware.
