The base is solid sterling silver, pierced with nice designs and has an old monogram of the initials DMN. The glass insert is beautifully cut with flower decorations and has a ruffled rim. The underside of the base is marked with the Mauser Manufacturing Co hallmark and sterling. The vase is 13 1/2 inches tall. The weight of just the sterling silver portion by itself is 112 grams and the weight of the whole vase including the glass insert is 721 grams.
