Cary's Reduction of his large Map of England & Wales, with part of Scotland, comprehending the whole of the Turnpike Roads, with the Great Rivers & the Course of the different navigable canals: also the Market and Borough Towns and principal places adjoining the Road, to which is added the actual distance from one Market Town to another.' by Cary, John. Published Corrected to the year 1834. Beautifully detailed antique engraved folding map mounted on linen, with original hand colouring. Presented in original slip case. Size 80 x 66 cm | 31.5 x 26.0 inches. Condition: Good; suitable for framing. Light spotting. The name of a previous owner, James Patrick Muirhead, has been manually annotate in ink, along with the name and crest of Balliol College, Oxford. Some shipping routes have been hand coloured, probably after the original publication date. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
