A classic Van Keulen trilingual sea chart of the third (western) section of the English Channel, engraved under the direction of Gerard van Keulen and published in Amsterdam by Johannes van Keulen, with titles in Dutch, French and English indicating its intended use by international shipping. The chart shows the coast of Devon and Cornwall from Torbay to the Scillies, and the coast of Brittany from Lannion to Pointe du Raz, with soundings, banks and rhumb-lines, decorative scale bars and the firm’s characteristic engraving style, and was issued for the Nieuwe Groote Lichtende Zee-Fakkel series during the first quarter of the eighteenth century. by van Keulen, Gerard & Johannes.
