The location of V Corps, U.S. Army Headquarters at Norton Fitzwarren is specifically noted. Text panels reference the wartime expansion of British farming and the role of the Women’s Institutes in sustaining food supplies and rural life. Inset views depict notable landmarks including Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Montacute House, Dunster Castle, and Glastonbury. Portraits and texts recall prominent Somerset military figures such as Admiral James Somerville, and A.V. Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty.
