Large vintage tole-painted metal tray with a hand-painted floral bouquet on a soft green ground. At 20" across, it reads like a piece of wall art as much as a serving tray.
The tray is Italian in the Florentine taste, a mid–late 20th century decorative piece made for export interiors with soft grounds, gilt accents, and lush painted bouquets. It’s the kind of toleware that was often used more as display than as a working tray, perfect now for cottage, traditional, or “shabby chic” rooms.

Design: Round metal tole tray with central hand-painted floral bouquet in pinks, blues, yellows, and creams on a muted green ground, with gilt scroll accents and banded rim.
Signature: Signed by the decorator at lower right; the cursive signature is present but not fully legible.
Dimensions: Approx. 20" diameter x 1" deep.
Color & finish: Soft sage/olive green field, multicolor flowers, and gold-toned detailing around the edge.
Era: Vintage, mid–late 20th century.

Condition:
Front shows light surface scratches, a few small scuffs, and tiny paint losses, mainly around the rim and in the ground color when tilted to the light.
Back shows more noticeable scuffing, scratches, and areas of finish wear from use and resting on surfaces.
No structural issues seen; presents very well from the front, with wear consistent with age and use.
