Description
This late 19th-century American tableware set includes a cold meat serving fork, a salt spoon with a shell-shaped bowl, and a spreader knife. The fork features a vermeil head and an ornate handle adorned with embossed scrolls and beaded borders. The salt spoon has a fluted shell bowl and a curved handle ending in a ball finial, while the spreader knife sports a foliate-patterned handle and a plain blade. The back of the fork is stamped vertically with STERLING and 925/1000, indicating that only the handles are sterling silver, as confirmed by testing on a Thermo Scientific measuring device.
