US 1922 Peace silver dollar struck at the Philadelphia mint. This coin is composed of .900 fine silver and features a reeded edge. The obverse displays the Peace dollar design with inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1922. The reverse displays the Peace dollar eagle design with inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. No mint mark is present on the reverse, identifying it as a Philadelphia strike. The 1922 issue represents the highest mintage year for the Peace dollar series. The coin is housed in a generic circular plastic capsule with a white foam gasket. Fine condition. The coin exhibits significant wear on the high points of the design, particularly on Liberty's hair and the eagle's feathers. Surfaces show heavy, uneven yellowish-grey toning and numerous contact marks consistent with a circulated specimen.
