1924 US Peace silver dollar struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This specimen is composed of 0.900 silver and 0.100 copper. The coin features the Peace Dollar obverse design by Anthony de Francisci, with the AF monogram visible below the neck truncation. The reverse displays the Peace Dollar reverse design and lacks a mint mark. The surfaces feature the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, 1924, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. The Peace dollar was issued to commemorate the signing of peace treaties following World War I. The coin is in Very Fine condition, exhibiting moderate wear on the high points of the Peace Dollar obverse and Peace Dollar reverse. Numerous contact marks, hairlines, and small abrasions are distributed across both faces. Distinct areas of dark toning and surface residue are visible, primarily concentrated within the recessed lettering and design elements.
