Description
This 1922 US silver Peace dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The design features the standard Peace dollar obverse and reverse. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, 1922, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. The coin features a reeded edge. The 1922 Philadelphia issue represents the highest mintage year in the Peace dollar series.
Weight: 0.858 ozt. Circulated. Significant wear is evident on the high points of Liberty's hair and the eagle's plumage. Numerous contact marks and small scratches are visible across both faces. A notable rim ding is present at the 7 o'clock position on the obverse. The surfaces exhibit a dull, grayish patina.
