Description
A 1956 CA 1-cent bronze coin (KM# 59). The obverse features the Laureate Head of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse displays the maple leaf design with designer initials KG for George Kruger Gray. This specimen is identified as a double strike error, with secondary impressions visible on the reverse legends 1 CENT and the date 1956, shifted toward the outer rim. The coin is housed in a vintage cardboard flip holder with handwritten notations in blue and graphite ink, including arrows pointing to the strike doubling and a list of other traded coins on the reverse. Very Good. The coin shows moderate circulation wear on the high relief areas of the portrait and reverse leaves. The surface exhibits a natural brown patina with several dark spots of oxidation on both sides. The vintage flip shows age-related toning and wear.
