The crab holds a single round brilliant diamond in one raised claw, adding a focal point of sparkle to the whimsical design. The pendant is signed with the George Lederman maker's mark and stamped 18k inside the crab’s body. It measures approximately 1 inch in length by 7/8 inch in width. The pendant is suspended from a uniquely styled 18k gold paperclip chain measuring 18 inches in length, with the clasp stamped 750. Total weight of the necklace is 7.9 grams. Wear consistent with age is present on the pendant, characteristic of its vintage nature. George Lederman Inc., creating the finest jewelry in New York since 1945. Prior to that date the family employed 40 people manufacturing jewelry at their atelier near Place Vendôme in Paris for the most famous French jewelry stores.
