Composition & Technique

Héctor Julio Páride Bernabó (1911–1997), known artistically as Carybé, was an acclaimed Argentine-Brazilian artist, writer, and historian. His work spans paintings, drawings, murals, and sculptures, often focusing on movement, culture, and folkloric themes. As an Obá de Xangô (honorary title) in the candomblé community, Carybé’s artistic reach blended deeply with spiritual and cultural life.
