Original red leather, spine with raised bands, gold lettering and decorations, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt.
This edition (the first in English to use Dore’s designs) based on Jarvis’ translation
with “occasional corrections” from Motteux, originally issued in parts.
The illustrations comprise many in the text and 118 full-page captioned plates, all signed
by Dore and the engraver (Heliodore) Pisan

Minor wear of binding, occasional toning and foxing
