– First edition of this edition translated by Anuce Foes (1528–1595) in parallel Greek and Latin text.
"New arrangement, recension, and translation based on earlier editions and manuscripts; the text and translation are still the most highly regarded, including F's. The annotations are numerous and valuable. The whole makes a substantial folio" (Choulant).
The pagination jumps from page to column several times.
The inner hinges have been amateurishly reinforced.
The title page bears several period manuscript ownership entries.
The first gatherings show minor damage to the upper edge.
Some occasional minor marginal faded dampstains
