Tim Tate (born 1960) is an American mixed-media sculptor based in Washington, D.C., and cofounder of the Washington Glass School. He is widely recognized for pioneering the integration of glass with embedded video and electronic components, producing narrative and time-based glass sculptures. Tate’s career includes a solo video-installation, "Sleep Walker," at the American University Museum/Katzen Arts Center (2013), participation in Glasstress at the Venice Biennale (2019), and work in public collections such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery, the Mint Museum, and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma.
