having openwork crown-topped royal monogram at top and rotating discs with engraved foliate decoration on both sides, obverse having windows to display information for dates, zodiac signs, hours of daylight, and sunrise and sunset times, inscribed in German "Himlisches Zeichen" ["Celestial Sign"], "Monat, Tage" ["Month, Days"], "Nacht Lang" ["All Night Long"], "Tag Lang" ["Day Long"], "Son Aufgang" ["Sunrise"], and "Son Unter Gang" ["Sunset"], reverse having inner and outer discs numbered "1" to "24" and central disc marked with letters of the alphabet, unsigned.
