Description
The image recreated in this work is the historic painting of Mont Sainte-Victoire Seen from the Bibémus Quarry (also known as Mont Sainte-Victoire above the Tholonet Road), an iconic landscape oil painting created around 1897 by the celebrated French Post-Impressionist master Paul Cézanne. The painting captures the majestic limestone peak of Montagne Sainte-Victoire in the artist's native region of Provence, southern France. The original masterpiece belongs to the permanent collection of the Baltimore Museum of Art in Maryland, USA.
