Originally created in the 1960s, these newer yet vintage Mid-Century Modern_ dining chairs are styled after Arne Jacobsen's* famous "Ant" chair and are constructed from bent plywood with a natural color and laquer finish. Each chair has a chrome-plated steel frame and four legs. The set includes four chairs with a distinctive butterfly-shaped backrest design. Any very minor imperfections, such as scratches or scuffs are consistent with age.
*Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) was a highly influential Danish architect and designer who pioneered the modernist and functionalist movements. Renowned for his "total design" approach, he created iconic buildings, furniture, and tableware, cementing his status as one of the most significant figures in 20th-century design.
