12x12x14 This is a late 19th to early 20th-century sloped-front country store display and storage bin constructed from lithographed tin-plated steel. The bin features a hinged lid equipped with a circular knob of painted wood or ceramic. The front panel is decorated with a lithographed scene within a large central oval depicting a woman in a green dress tending to a landscape next to a decorative pole topped with a striped yellow and black finial. Above this scene, a curved banner contains the faded text BAKING POWDER. The side panels of the front face are adorned with colorful orange and yellow rose motifs. The sides and back of the bin are finished in a solid red-orange paint. The lid features a central foliate crest or wreath motif in a faded gold tone. The interior of the bin is unfinished.
