This vintage ceramic Christmas tree was produced using a mold by MB Haland. The item consists of a tiered evergreen tree body and a coordinating pedestal base. The ceramic is finished in a deep green glaze with darker accents in the branch recesses to enhance texture. The tree body features numerous small holes for the insertion of translucent plastic light pegs. Included with the tree is a collection of multi-colored plastic pegs in flame and starburst shapes. The separate base is equipped with a standard light bulb socket and a white electrical cord featuring an inline rotary on/off switch. The interior rim of the tree body is incised with the mark MB HALAND ? MOLD and the side of the base is incised with the letters MB.
