Late Meiji to early Taisho (1910s) mixed metal vase, its upper part with silver imitating dripping glaze seen on Japanese ceramics, and its body carved and inlaid with a scene of a bird in flight over blooming peony bush with buds, stems and leaves. Excellent crisp work, gilding and silvering, beautiful patina, in great condition. Signed by the bottom GANZAN KOKU (carved by Ganzan). Height 6.25 inches, diameter 2.8 inches.
