60in tall A rare substantial decorative table lamp manufactured by the Marbro Lamp Company. The lamp features a large sculptural base made of a cast composite material with a multi-toned polychrome and metallic gilt finish. The base depicts a young boy and girl standing back-to-back against a low brick wall on a rocky ground. The boy wears a wide-brimmed hat and a neckerchief while holding a piece of fruit, and the girl carries a basket filled with flowers. The fixture is equipped with a two-light socket assembly, individual pull-chain switches, and a brass-toned spherical finial. It includes a large cylindrical drum shade made of vertically textured fabric with braided rope trim along the top and bottom edges. The base is marked with the cast inscription COPYRIGHT MARBRO LAMP CO.
