ABOUT THE ARTIST: Sorokoletov Gavriil Volodymyrovych – was born on 9th of February, 1913 in Sharapkino village (now Sverdlovsk), Lugansk region. He studied at the Kyiv Art Institute. Mentors: Krichevsky F., Kostetsky V., Grigoriev S., Trokhimenko K. Worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1947 he participated in republican exhibitions. Main works: "Landing on the Dnieper" (1946); "Before the Rain" (1955); "Marge" (1956) and others. The Artist died in 2001.
