MEDIUM: oil on canvas YEAR OF CREATION: 1977 CONDITION: The painting is in good vintage condition, as shown in the photographs. It is currently unframed. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Chichkan Leonid Ilyich – was born on 21th of August, 1911 in Krasnodar city, Russia. He studied at Krasnodar Art College and Kharkiv and Kyiv Art Institutes. Mentors: Prokhorov S.M., Kozik M.A., Shovkunenko O. Worked in the field of easel painting. He portrayed Carpathian landscapes, still life, portraits, and genre paintings. 1952 began teaching at Kyiv Art Institute. Since 1971, professor of Kyiv Art Institute. Main works: "Carpathians" (1953), "Bride" (1971), "Olexa Dovbush", "Loggers" and others. The artist died in 1977.
