This headshop poster from 1968 reads "Turn On With The Tories". From a PAE customer: "This is a Canadian political poster that features the head of Conservative Party leader Robert Stanfield who was the challenger to liberal Pierre Trudeau for Prime Minister in the June 1968 federal election. Trudeau won of course, but amusing to think that anyone would "turn on with the Tories" and that Stanfield would appeal to a countercultural voter. The Conservatives were trying to counter Pierre Trudeau as the hippest politician ever to arrive on the political scene. The Conservative Party in Canada (as now) were so out of touch. To put it in American terms, it would be like using a psychedelic poster to elect George Bush Sr. without any tongue in cheek."
